Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a needle-based therapy that promotes healing and enhances overall function. By inserting sterilized stainless-steel needles into specific points, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system and influences organ, tissue, and sensory function, as well as circulation.
Clinically, acupuncture increases oxygen and blood flow, activates the endocrine and nervous systems, supports cellular repair, and triggers the release of the body’s natural pain killers. This time-tested practice is widely used to restore balance and improve well-being.
In addition to pain relief, acupuncture is known to support digestion, regulate hormones, reduce stress, and enhance sleep quality, making it a versatile and holistic treatment option.

Herbal Medicine
An essential part of Oriental medicine, herbal remedies play a key role in restorating and maintening balance in the body. Highly specific in their actions, herbal formulas contain unique compounds that address both symptoms and root causes of imbalance.
Made natural substances such as plants, flowers, and minerals, these remedies have been used effectively for thousands of years and have influenced modern drug therapies. While herbal medicine rarely causes side effects, monitoring by a trained professional is essential.
Chinese herbal medicine can be used on its own or alongside acupuncture for enhanced therapeutic effects.

Nutritional Therapy
At TCR Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine, we combine the use of traditional recommendations along with modern, well researched nutritional compounds as part of treatment for most disorders. This may include food, vitamins, and/or supplements.
Nutritional therapy can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or on its own.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping is a therapy which uses sterilized cups of various sizes that are placed on specific parts of the body in order to remove toxins, increase circulation and alleviate pain. The application of the cupping is similar to a vacuum or suction effect. Cupping is commonly used for both chronic and acute pain and cold/flu type disorders.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion involves applying heat from a slow burning herb over acupuncture points to stimulate circulation and warm the channels. The use of moxa has been found to provide relief from a variety of disorders such as chronic pain, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, gynecological and infertility conditions.

Lab Testing
As an integrative medical facility, we utilize modern lab testing procedures to design the most effective treatment protocol for each individual patient. Lab testing can be very useful in treating many common syndromes such as; sleep disorders, menopausal symptoms, mood disorders, digestive complaints, infertility, and chronic pain and fatigue syndromes.
